On Sunday, the Oscar-winning animated film raked 27.78 million yuan (about 3.91 million U.S. dollars) in box office revenue. It was followed by "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," the latest installment in the MonsterVerse film franchise, with a daily earning of 26.67 million yuan. The animated film "Kung Fu Panda 4" stayed in third place, generating 8.06 million yuan in box office revenue on the day.
